Planting & Growing
Our ginseng journey begins in the fertile fields of Ontario, where Canadian Vita cultivates high-quality Panax quinquefolius — better known as Canadian ginseng.
Each root is grown with care, using time-honored agricultural methods and natural shade structures that replicate the wild forest environment ginseng thrives in. The growing process spans over three to four years, allowing the roots to mature slowly and absorb the rich nutrients of the Canadian soil.
Throughout the seasons, we closely monitor soil conditions, moisture levels, and plant health to ensure every root develops its full potency and purity.

Drying
Once harvested, the ginseng roots are carefully washed and sorted by hand. The drying process is one of the most crucial steps in preserving the root's natural compounds and aroma.
At Canadian Vita, we use traditional air-drying techniques in specialized drying barns, where the temperature and humidity are carefully controlled to protect the integrity of the root.
This slow, natural drying method enhances the ginseng’s earthy aroma and concentrates its active ingredients, giving each root a crisp texture and strong, distinct flavor.
